“STOP, GO and DO"

"Go & do likewise.” (Luke 10:37). That's what Jesus said to the lawyer who asked HIM in today’s Gospel, "what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” (Luke 10:25)

That’s also what Jesus says to us now - "Go & do likewise.”

Why?

Because a Christian is all about GOING & DOING. When Jesus tells to us to "GO & DO", we follow. Because whatever God, says we follow.

Jonah, initially, did not understand this. When God called him to preach to Nineveh he did the "GO & DO” thing. GO the other way & DO the opposite of God's instruction 

"Now the word of the LORD came to Jonah the son of Amit'tai, saying, “Arise, go to Nin'eveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness has come up before me.” But Jonah rose to flee to Tar'shish from the presence of the LORD. He went down to Joppa and found a ship going to Tarshish; so he paid the fare, and went on board, to go with them to Tarshish, away from the presence of the LORD. - Jonah 1:1-3

Jonah ended up in the belly of a fish. That was not a pleasant experience. Not so good things happens to us when we do what we want over what God tells us. Jonah decided to follow God later on. He preached to Nineveh & the people repented. They STOPPED sinning.

If we truly want to follow Jesus, we need to STOP, GO & DO.

STOP - stop sinning, stop doing wrong things, stop hating

GO - go out & #ShareaboutJesus. Where is your Nineveh? is it your home, workplace or school?

DO - do everything that HE commanded. Everything, not some things. That means all HIS commandments

If you want to be a True Christian you need to MAKE A CHOICE. It's either you follow Jesus 100% or not. Can't be 50%, 75% or 99%. It should be 100%. Jesus declares that "Whoever is not with me is against me” (Matthew 12:30)
