THY NOT MY

Prayer is about God's will not ours.
It's about THY will be done not MY will be done.
It's not about changing God's mind to grant what we want.
Prayer is about allowing His will in our lives.

But, isn't that difficult?
True.  Personally, I find in extra difficult to pray for God's will when I'm afraid, troubled or hopeless.
Let's look at how Jesus prayed when He was afraid, troubled or hopeless.
In Matthew 26, Jesus felt so down & desperate because of His impending torture & death.
He expressed this to His disciples Peter, James & John.
“My soul is sorrowful even to death.” (Matthew 26:38)

How does Jesus pray in the face of danger?
He "fell prostrate in prayer, saying, 'My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me; yet, not as I will, but as you will'.” (Matthew 26:39)

"Not my will but Yours." That was His prayer.
Jesus shows us that no matter how troubled we are we should still pray for God's will to happen.

Praying for God's will is all about TRUST & OPENNESS.
It means that you TRUST that God knows what's best for you.
It means that you TRUST that God will take care of you.
It means that you TRUST that God will never leave you.
It means that you're OPEN to accept God's wisdom.
It means that you're OPEN to God's plans.
It means that you're OPEN to God's surprise!

You need to TRUST God & be OPEN to Him.
Because no matter how bad your situation is, God will always bring out something good from it.
Read Romans 8:28 to confirm that truth.
Always remember to pray for God's will because your Father knows best.

Pray & then experience God's miracle in your life! - alvinfabella@yahoo.com
