ANO HANAP MO?

A family was having dinner at grandmother’s house. Mother was surprised that his 7-year old son dug into the food immediately.
“Son, you have to pray before eating."
"No I don't!" the little boy replied.
"But we always pray before eating at home, right?"
"Well, that's at our house. But this is Grandma's house. She knows how to cook."

We need to pray ALWAYS. The problem is we don't know how. In a verse in today's Gospel Luke 11:1, a disciple said to Jesus "Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples."
Friends, what are you praying for?
  • We pray for power yet we need God's powerful forgiveness.
  • We pray for pleasure but we need God's love without measure.
  • We pray for a comfortable life. Actually what we need are companions who will be with us through any trial.
  • We pray for goods but we actually need God.
  • We pray for success but we actually seek the Savior
Forgiveness, love, sincere relationships & God Himself. That's what we need. That's what we should pray for. How do we receive these?
SIMPLY ASK. Luke 11:9 says "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."
Trust that God will always give you what you need. Read Luke 11:11-13,
"What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent; or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"
Prayer is a powerful tool. Use it to receive what you need not what you want. "Lord, teach us to pray" - alvinfabella@yahoo.com
